چکیده

Background: Gallstone disease poses a substantial economic burden on healthcare systems globally, necessitating safer alternatives to current treatments like dissolution therapy and cholecystectomy. Natural compounds from plants offer potential solution, but research their cholelitholytic activity is limited. In vitro studies are crucial for identifying effective plant-based therapies. Objective: This study aims investigate the in of six Ayurvedic medicines, selected based ethnopharmacological knowledge folk medicinal practices. Methods: samples were categorized as combined cholesterol gallstones (CCGS) or black pigment external morphology cross-sectional analysis. conducted using extracts Bergenia ciliata, Berberis asiatica, Cuscuta europaea, Kalanchoe pinnata, Teraxacum officinale, Macrotyloma uniflorum, medicines (Cystone®, Gokshuradi, Calcury). The immersed controls separately incubated shaking water bath. gallstone capacity was assessed by recording dry weight at multiple time points. Results: T. officinale highly dissolving gallstones, while B. asiatica exhibited superior efficacy CCGS. M. uniflorum C. europaea also demonstrated significant against gallstones. However, K. pinnata less both types. ciliata equal effectiveness medicine compared plant extracts. Conclusion: showed can dissolve GS effectively. depends type stone. findings this serve basis further vivo
